Instructions for Use

 

Measures gives your child the opportunity to determine capacity in millilitres.


Click on “Reading volume and capacity.” Read the scale to determine how much water is in the jug. Type your answer and unit of measurement into the empty text boxes and click “check” to see if you are correct. Click “next” to get another question.

Teaching Measures is an interactive site used to practise measuring capacity in litres and millilitres. The site also includes some other measurement practise.

Select “Capacity” from the list of options, then select “Class capacity (l’s and ml’s)”. Ensure the measurements are covered by the “l” and “ml” signs and show the screen to the class. Ask what the capacity is in litres and millilitres.
