Instructions for UseSquare Units lets your child find the area of a figure by counting squares. To use Square Units, count the squares to find the area of each figure. Use the pull-down menus to check if your child's answer is correct. Area Explorer prompts your child to investigate the area of different shapes. To use Area Explorer, slide the 'Adjust Maximum Size' slider to change the shape of the units. Click the "Draw New Shape" button. Determine what the shape's area will be and type your answer into the text fields. Click the 'Check Answer" button. To draw a new shape, click the 'Draw New Shape' button. |
